Bayou Industrial Group(BIG) is a non-profit, non-partisan organization
committed to the growth and sustainability of business and industry in
the Bayou Region of southeast Louisiana.
Founded in 1973, our
group has a strong history of supporting infrastructure, coastal
restoration and protection, education, economic development, and public
health and safety initiatives in our communities. This provides an
opportunity for our members to take action as part of a group on issues
that they otherwise may not be able to do individually.
BIG is also a resource to its members and to the community we serve by communicating these critical issues, hosting informative speakers at monthly luncheon meetings, and providing business development opportunities for our members whenever possible.
Our
members include business, industry and non-profit organizations as well
as individuals from primarily Lafourche, Terrebonne, Assumption
and St. Mary Parishes, including the metropolitan area of Houma and Thibodaux.
